however, what i meant by downgrading to 1.1.3 and then restoring to 1.1.4 was as an alternative to using any tool. just simpy downgrade and restore back up (this should undo the present unlock).but, do you think this will be as "fresh/clean" as the -r on eziphonetool?
Your baseband will only every upgrade if self / replace it self with a clean copy in an upwards direction with itunes so downgrading with itunes wouldn't give you a clean BB only using refurb tools like eziphone will do that.

isn't a restore to 1.1.4 AFTER the downgrade to 1.1.3 considered "a clean copy in an upwards direction with itunes"?
sorry to challenge you so much, just trying to be careful
btw, just opened the tool, looks good...

Ok I see your point. So, a downgrade to 1.1.3 will still remain unlocked since the baseband is untouched? (it's besides to point, but I didn't know that).
Ok so should i take any precautions before running this (-r) command from eziphonetools?
After its done I just reunlock right?
If I wish, can I restore after -r and then unlock?

You don't need to take any precautions just contact the phone and run (-r)
and Yes I would prob restore after running (-r) so that I was 100% clean then I'd reunlock.
