    Default bad "firware" version

    I think I have another Iphone that crapped the bed (first had a bad battery). I have been using it unlocked for about a month now. Yesterday I tried to turn it on, nothing... Hooked it up to the PC and it took about 5 tries to turn it on. It would turn on then quickly back off. When I finally got it to boot, I got the dreaded "repair needed." I've tried to restore with 1.1.2, 1.1.1, and 1.0.2, mostly ending with error 1011. I can force it to boot with iBrickr but the repair message pops back up. If I dial in to check the firmware version, it is actually misspelled "firware" and the field is blank. Looks like another trip back to the Apple store to get hassled...

    See your IMEI and ICCID. If you havent got IMEI and/or ICCID, search the forum, there's a fix.
    If you got IMEI 0049, search for ''0049 IMEI'' and you may find a fix...

    Well, the misspelled Firware exists on every version.

    It makes me think the official unlock (aka through typing a code on the dial pad) may be really easy, since the programmers at Apple were dumb enough to not correct this ridiculous misspelling thing.

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

    I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.
