he bricked his phone because you told him to use anysim again

he already had an unlocked phone as he said at the start as the unlock is resistant to an update from 1.0.1 to 1.02 he never needed to use anysim again as it would have still been unlocked.

now if its not working he will need to do a virgin restore and unlock again.

not so cool for a someone that doesn't get ssh

i agree that we should run anysim 2ice on the same phone unless the bb is patched however
if anysim reports cant find bytes to patch it doesnt mean the phone is bricked, take it to recovery mode and then restore it, reactivate it using lockdownd ,the phone should work fine now and would remain unlocked.

plenty of people report no service and other errors after the cannot find bytes to patch error. I think its proberly due to the half flash of the firmware after using anysim twice, ive never heard of people fixing it with a simple restore

but I could be wrong, Ive told alot of people to virgin restore after the bytes error
as its the only way to get there phone unlocked and working

note I told him if it locked again, than run the software.

It it works well, there is no need to run the software again.

It's still easy to get it work using iBrickr without SSH.

you still have to type commands on the terminal its a bit tough for some people.
there's no reason the phone can lock again as an update or restore from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 does not flash the baseband. the baseband is only flashed the first update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 or 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 . and again for the next update to 1.1.1 . the bb flash is ignored if its the same modem firware thats why the unlock is resistant to restore of 1.0.2

once my phone is unlocked i would never ever repatch my bb files, no matter what issue ur facing a recovery restore should address, if it doesnt thats a big if u have use "launchctl load" command to manually lauch the comm center, i have personnally done all this. the steps must always be followed in the correct manner.
