anysim unlock -> bbupdater -> ipsf -> 1.1.1
hi guys,
is it possible to do bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep on a anysim unlocked phone (1.0.2)...
after that do a new unlock with iphonesimfree.
now updating to 1.1.1...
will this cause, that i won't get a corrupted nvram (imei 0049.. or something like that)?
i don't care about activation or something like that....
thanks for your answers

Yes, provided you're starting with v1.0.2, you basically need to redo the baseband flash with bbupdater, which will then cause your iPhone to not recognize ANY SIM card (the IMEI will be set to the proverbial 0049... number).
You then need to remove the SIM card and reboot the phone to run IPSF. Otherwise, the incorrect IMEI will be handed to IPSF's servers, and it will not recognize your license as valid.
Provided you're sending the valid IMEI number, and have a valid IPSF license, then IPSF should just run, and reset the iPhone to an unlocked state using the "clean" baseband firmware that you've reflashed. Once you've done this, you can reflash the firmware as often as you like and the phone will remain unlocked.
Note that if you still cannot run IPSF for whatever reason, the back-out solution is to simply re-run AnySIM or iUnlock to reflash the patched baseband firmware (which recognizes the fudged unlock token). You don't need to rerun the AT+CLCK process itself, as that's already been done -- you merely need to get the patched firmware back on there in order to recognize this.
So basically, once you've done the bbupdater to reset the iPhone back to "stock" baseband firmware, you will be in a situation where you will need to do one of two things before your iPhone will work again:
- Run IPSF (without your SIM card inserted) to perform the IPSF unlock and clean out the invalid unlock token.
- Run iUnlock/AnySIM again to restore the patched firmware so that it recognizes the invalid unlock token.
From that point, you could upgrade to v1.1.1, but there's not really much point unless you already have an AT&T SIM card that you're planning to use (ie, an AT&T account), since the higher-level OS and iTunes will not "activate" anything other than an AT&T SIM card (and methods like iASign and iNdependence do not yet work, nor is there any way to supply a patched lockdownd since the v1.1.1 has not been jailbroken yet).
