Default Anysim 1.2.1u sets iPhone into endless boot loop

    Hi,

got a strange problem today. wanted to update a friend's 1.1.1 software unlocked iphone to 1.1.2.

    - ran oktoprep
    - updated via shift-update in itunes
    - jailbreaked
-- the iphone was 1.1.2, jailbreaked and working, but not unlocked.
    - now i download anysim 1.2.1u (insert the new sim card) and run it. but during the anysim procedure, the turning circle appears in the middle of the screen (the circle that displays when you turn the phone off) and the iphone is set into an endless loop of booting with the apple logo.

    i tried it again:
    - downgrade 1.1.1
    - jailbreak
    - baseband downgrade
    - install 1.1.1. again due to bb downgrade
    - unlock with anysim 1.2 (works!)

then i ran oktoprep again etc, same error.

i've already updated another iphone to 1.1.2 and it was no problem. this also was a software unlocked one.

    thanks for your help.

i think you were supposed to virginize it before running 121u? maybe do a clean install of 111 and without anysim, go to 112 then anysim?

i never ran into this before. but i always try to have the installs clean before unlocking at destination firmware.

i didnt read anything about you putting it on airplane mode.

if i remember when i upgraded to 1.1.2 i had to put my phone on airplane mode before i ran the anysim.

@nero3000: put the iphone into the dock and set it into dfu mode, restore. quite simple
