Unhappy anySIM 1.1 DID NOT WORK with factory 1.1.1 iPhone

I guess I should have researched a little more before I dove right into this. This is what I did:

    1. Jailbroke my factory 1.1.1 phone
    2. Installed anySIM with WinSCP, set its permissions
    3. Put in my T-Mobile SIM
    4. Ran anySIM 1.1
    5. Restarted phone

I got the "Different SIM detected" message. I tried restarting the phone several times, switching the T-Mobile SIM for the AT&T back and forth several times. The AT&T one works fine still, but the T-Mobile one just says "Different SIM detected" every time.

    What did I do wrong?

Yeah, you need to activate. But, I would THINK you could do this either after or before running the unlock. But, I could be mistaken....

Thanks for the response guys. When you say "activated" what do you mean by that? I had to activate the phone with AT&T to be able to get into the phone to jailbreak it. (I just signed a contract with AT&T that I'm going to cancel in the next 3 days.) So in that sense, it is activated. Is there another type of activation I have to do with the new SIM or something?

    Question

Can somebody please clear something up for me. I have gone through carlos method and it works great. I have a 1.1.1. otb do I have to restore it so I can use the new anysim or can I just go from the jail break process.

so then if I go through the jail break process, don't I have to restore.

I guess my question is how can I still use the new 1.1.1 features on a unlocked iphone.

    thanks

While I'm waiting for my question to be answered, I'll answer some other questions asked here.

The new anySIM 1.1 can be downloaded here http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/anysim11.html

For the person having anySIM open and close right away, you forgot to set its permissions using WinSCP. They should be 0755. Just open up the anySIM.app folder, right click, go to permissions, and then check every box in the third column. Your permissions should then say 0755.

Anyone know how to get my phone to recognize the new SIM? Someone said I need to "activate" it, but I already had to activate it with AT&T to get it to jailbreak. What other activation is there?
