    Default ANYsim 1.1.1 patch - don't waste one unlock count!(bullshit)

    Just on iphone-elite site (thnx zibree), with oneSIM release:

    /* removed scam kids of the block */

    ----------------------
    Are you about to use anySIM 1.1?

    Zibree found an oversight with anySIM 1.1. It needlessly increases your NCK unlock attempt count. Given how early we are in the iPhone "cat and mouse" game, you probably don't want to waste those counts.

    If you are about to unlock using anySIM 1.1, you may want to make a patch first! anySIM 1.1 still executes the command AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000". That command was needed by anySIM 1.0x because of the specific patch used. But the new patch no longer requires it. The command will make your NCK unlock counter increment -- why do that if you don't need to?.

    To patch it, take an HEX editor and search for the AT+CLCK command above. Patch it to be "ATZ" followed by 0x0d \x00.

    That's all folks!

    Zibri is full of bullshit

    that's part of source of anysim1.1
    ------

    [thisapp performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(setProgress withObject:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:[NSNumber numberWithFloat:100.0],@"Resetting the baseband", nil] waitUntilDone:NO];

    //Unlock(fd);

    BOOL success = TestUnlock(fd);
    close(fd);

    ----

    #define UNLOCK_CMD "AT+CLCK=\"PN\",0,\"00000000\"\r"

    -----

    void Unlock(int fd)
    {
    //[thisapp setProgress:0.0 withMessage:@"Sending unlock commands"];
    [thisapp performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(setProgress withObject:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:[NSNumber numberWithFloat:0.0],@"Sending unlock commands", nil] waitUntilDone:NO];
    SendCmd(fd, UNLOCK_CMD, strlen(UNLOCK_CMD));

    so, it doesn't incement unlock counter, because function call Unlock is commented.

    So is it safe to just keep what AnySim 1.1.1 did?
    Will the Dev-team be releasing a patch?

    Thanks for the heads-up. This should be a sticky so this information doesn't get lost to others.

    Where can I find the source to anySim? It's open-source, right?

    Also: how did the unlock string end up in the anySim 1.1 binary, if the #define isn't referenced anywhere in the code? (the above code snippet shows the ref to it commented-out, so the string wouldn't be in the binary output)

    Is it referred to in some other part of the app source? Maybe that's what Zibri is finding??

    Or, maybe the source you're quoting is more up-to-date than the binary that Zibri was looking at?
