Anyone from Wiki! Please extract 1.1.1 international support
Hi there!
could anyone whose's gotten access to the 1.1.1 file system extract what's needed for the international support (Dicts, Keyboards).
That would be very very useful...

Probably the best feature in 1.1.1 for non English speaking.
I support your request.

Yes... In fact, I'm going to buy an iPhone (a friend of mine arrived in the USA today)... I'm from Italy, and in Italian there are some characters which aren't used in English, like: è à ò ù ì... This is the thing I like most in 1.1.1

sorry but it won't happen. The international support is deeply embeded in the iphones software, its not just a simple app folder. It has parts in the email and sms program as well as the system and settings.
It will be easier to jailbreak, activate at unlock the 1.1.1 than it would to chase down all the parts of international support and work out how to fit them in 1.0.2
Apparentlly, allot has changed in the makeup of 1.1.1 for starters the os is one third bigger thats alot of code.

I have to disagree with you. I'm currently using a French package, they're not perfect hence the need to get them from 1.1.1. In 1.1.1 we would need the following files for French:
in ./System/Library/KeyboardDictionaries:
fr_FR-one-letter-words.dat
fr_FR-stems.dat
fr_FR-two-letter-words.dat
fr_FR-unigrams.dat
fr_FR-unigrams.idx
./Applications/Preferences.app:
International.plist
Keyboard.plist
./System/Library:
KeyboardDictionaries
./System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework:
Keyboard-Latin.artwork
From there a bit of testing would get us there. I'm fairly confident the language support hasn't changed from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1, hence the possibility to use what's in 1.1.1 into 1.0.2.

you sound fairly confident considering you don't even know if thats how the files are layed out in 1.1.1 . I still say it wont happen, 1.1.1 will be fully unlocked before people start pulling it apart to do homemade 1.0.2 upgrades

International language support is deeply embedded in FW 1.1.1, this is a HUGE difference my friend.
