Anyone having this strange SMS issue? unable to send consecutive msgs..
I successfully unlocked my shiny 8G iphone, and got it working with Fido SIM.
I used the video tutorial, ibrikr and anySIM package..
Things seem to work pretty well: networks are detected and my Fido SIM is recognised with my canadian number. I don't have anyone to call at the moment but i'm pretty sure it works..I can get the rings going and stuff when I dial...
Except that in SMS program, I can only send/reply TWICE with same contact..
Like..the iphone SMS looks like an IM where it shows all the messages by the order rcvd/sent..right?
Well, once I have made 2 or so replies, i can no longer reply to the SMS i received..
Phone keep says "Sending failed" and doesn't send..
Funny thing is, when i clear the msgs using "Clear" button on top, then the messages go through no problem.
So basically i have to clear the msgs every two or three messages in order to send replies again..it's very annoying and inconvenient as I can't keep history of the messages..
It looks as if some kind of buffer is full only after few messages on screen..
Anyone having this issue??
Right now I am in California, running Fido US Roaming on AT&T network.
But i don't think that should be of an issue..is it?

I don't have this problem. I think I had a conversation that had at least 11 SMSs in it.
Try trashing sms.db file and restarting the phone.

same here. usually sms works fine but sometimes it just doesn't send damn sms to others on time. those messages that didn't go through gets delivered after FEW hours :O.
I have no clue why it is so.
