Any way to fix 1011 error?
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a fix when your iPhone is stuck in the "connect to itunes" and the restore via iTunes fails with an error 1011.
Thanks!

Ok solved! But don't ask me how...this happened two times so I am confident it could be a solution.
Problem: the iPhone is in the "connect to iTunes" status but every effort to restore it via iTunes (and firmware 1.0.2) is faulty because of error 1011.
Solution: I left the iPhone turned on in its dock. I turned off my Mac without touching the iPhone. After some seconds the iPhone turns off autmoatically. Then I went to sleep (I don't this this is needed, ehehe, but it seems that some time with the iPhone turned off solves the problem). I woke up, I turned the Mac without touching the iPhone. The iPhone automatically turned on and it had the "connect to iTunes message". I run iTunes which tells me that there is an iPhone which need to be restored. I clicked on the "restore" button with alt key pressed on the keyboard and I was able to choose the firmware file to use. I inserted "iphone" in the little spotlight field in the opened window and I clicked on the firmware *ipws file. The restore process started and ended succesfully, without any 1011 problem!!!
I don't know why, but it seems that leaving the iPhone in its dock for some time solves the problem. Do you have any idea why?

I tried that (even followed the "went to sleep" part), but didn't work. My iPhone is still bricked, with the cable-arrow-iTunes logo picture. When I connect to iTunes it tries to restore, but fails to complete the firmware update due to the infamous 1011 Error.
I have a hard time understanding how nobody has still found out a way to correct that error
Help anyone, please!?...
