Discuss [ANNOUNCEMENT] JerrySIM: Almost software unlock solution at the iPhone "2G" (Rev. 1) - Hackint0sh.org; I completely understand why the dev team didnt want to release the 4.6 unlock...... why ...
I completely understand why the dev team didnt want to release the 4.6 unlock...... why not wait to release it after the sdk is out and they put out yet another fw. this way you will be able to unlock 1.1.2 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 or what ever it would be. more people able to unlock new iphones and apple doesnt get to fix the hole until they release 1.1.5 and change the bl. Its pretty simple to see, everybody on here is just so eager to unlock the 4.6bl that they have gotten attached to every little thing and get pissed when they find out something about unlocking that the dev team has known for a while. I really dont think the leak will affect the unlock for the 4.6bl, but i guarantee that the next firmware upgrade from apple will have a new bl. On a more positive note, if the 4.6bl unlock comes out soon, and all the current iphone users unlock, they will be able to soft-update like we have with 1.1.3........
Since he moderates comments ... that'll be my only post on the topic. Now trying to find back some motivation ...

Honestly, and that's the only comment I'll put here, as the guy who worked out the exploit conditions. I'm only speaking in my own name.
Releasing that was just plain stupid. Hacking is about knowing what to release and when to release. This isn't your own personal sandbox. You just ruined a perfectly good and original exploit. Then instead of apologizing you're just posting more crazy demands ? Yeah right.
If you weren't already older than me, that'd be the time to tell you to grow up
this is just a sad day for the community.
While some people play Chess, others do play Checkers. And I know which one is playing each game.
