    This:
apple phone support told me to put my phone in restore mode, try this? first you plug in usb, then you hold the top button and the front button for 10 seconds, then let go of the top button and keep holding the front one until itunes recognizes the phone. it worked for me when my 1.0.2 was locked up? you don't see anything on the screen until the restore starts.

I did this, it starts itunes I shift+click restore, select 1.02 firmware. It starts doing the restore as normal. As it finishes, it says "the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurer (1013). Then the iphoen restarts, and loads the old restore mode (I believe so, because it shows the Yellow Triangle, instead of the cable-itunes logo).

Even if I restart normally, it comes to this screen instead of the activation screen, so I dont know if it is succesfully restored.

    Hello,

first, sorry about my bad english. i hope you can understand me.
Yesterday i have buy an IPhone. This Phone was locked. I looked and the phone has Firmware 1.1.1
Now i have downgrade to Firmware 1.0.2

I have download the 1.0.2 Firmware. Than I do this, i starts itunes I shift+click restore, select 1.02 firmware. It starts doing the restore as normal. As it finishes, it says "the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurer (1013).

I look at the Firmware (*3001#12345#*) and see 4.Xxxx

Than i use iNdependence to activate. And YEAH!!! Than the same with the Jailbreak.
:-) So my phone is unlocked. And now wenn i look for the Firmware, it is 1.0.2

    I think thats was it?!!?!?!?

I hope you understand it. When anybody speak german then PN me and i say it in german. Maybe anybody can translate it.

    Otzelot from germany
