    Default [All][Solution] Greyed Wi-Fi

Well this is a quick guide on how to fix your wi-fi problems!

    Symptoms

    • Greyed out Wi-Fi
    • Wi-Fi Mac: N/A
    • Bluetooth Mac: 00:00:00:00:00:00
    • Invalid Device in Callibration Tree

    Solution:

I downloaded a payload that another member had put together in another thread that contains bootneuter, swifi. Available Here

Extracted into iliberty's payload folder, and started iliberty. my phone was already jailbroken, activated etc. I just chose jailbreak, and selected bootneuter, swifi, term-vt100, bsd subsystem and clicked go for it.

I then neutered my phone to 4.6 and unlocked the baseband, I then opened up terminal, logged in and

    • cd /usr/bin
    • chmod +x swifi
    • launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    • killall -9 CommCenter
    • swifi

If you get the “Error 0xffffffff”, that means you did not kill commcenter fully.

Once swifi has ran, you need to restart your phone.

Goto settings, and your wi-fi should no longer be greyed out and just say "Not Connected", go in and try to join your network.

If you joined it, your done - enjoy your phone,

    if it failed, keep reading.

If you have used Ziphone 3.0 and selected the wi-fi fix, or used iBooter and manually changed your wi-fi address, we need to reset this back to its default value. If you lost it, no problem

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth mac's are very close, off by 1 value, the last one, so if you have a phone
    Code:
    Bluetooth address: 00:1E:24:51:DC:50
then your wi-fi address would be
    Code:
    Wi-Fi address: 00:1E:24:51:DC:51
Make sure you note of what your wi-fi address should be, as we will be using iBooter to hard-code this wi-fi mac back onto your phone.

if you dont have iBooter, download from here

once the program has loaded up and your in, type
    Code:
setenv wifiaddr "Your Mac Address Goes Here!"
    printenv wifiaddr
    saveenv
    fsboot
Your phone will then boot into normal mode and you should be able to connect to your networks without a problem.

If this help, make sure to make donations to the creator of iBooter and to the dev-team for their continued work to open up the iphone and help us out.

This doesnt work for all the NO WIFI (grayed ouu) iphones
I tried with both methods ibooter and dev-team's swifi
and still NO WIFI grayed out
a genius from dev-team said it could be a Hardware problem, i am thinking the same way.

thank you for using my payload in your tutorial. you forgot to mention that you have to flash the bootloader to the fakeblank version otherwise swifi will fail. you also have to swifi as root - so login as root by typing "su -" into the terminal at first.

    THIS AS FIXED MY iPHONE

THANKS DEV.TEAM. thank you all !

"After fixing The wifi can I disable Fakeblank option on bootNeuter?"

    My problem

I Have the "invalid calibration" error.
    My phone is a 16Gg - 1.1.3 OOB

The problem appear first time after using ziphone refurb option.
    Description of the problem:
    No WIFI/Bluetooth - Grayed
Phone won't ring if on sleep mode.
All other device function work perfectly . Can make call's and recieve (if the phone is on); and
    EDGE working

After using ibooterwin as suggested here:
    http://wikee.iphwn.org/sgold_bootrom:fixwifi

    the the command radio readnvram
    it gives me this:

    Code:

Read 1536 bytes from nvram in 2009583 usec.
Type: 0xffff Size: 0xfffa Purpose: Not Avaliable

This problem was caused by ziphone refurb option, well it appeared after that...

    Hey
i extracted the payload into the payload folder located in iliberty+. However when i jailbreak and install payload to iphone, the payload doesn't get installed. It seems like th payload can't be found and isn't installed onto the phone.
i get a bunch of 'not found' texts on the second pass.

    Anyone know why>

When trying to install the payloads.......iLiberty won't get past........

"Trying to fix for bootloader 3.9".

It just freezes up. Any suggestions?
This all started with the "repair iphone" message and then the 1011 error after itunes restore attempts. I also have the calibration data issue.

I didn't, but I also didn't select activate., just jailbreak and the recommended payloads. I'll try that now. Thanks.
