Default AFter using new sim unlock - can I use blackberry sim

After following the idiots guide in:

    http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1692

    and

    http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...?t=1684&page=3

Is it safe to assume that I can take my sim out of my Blackberry 8800 and have it work?

If so, will the data still work?

I am currently on a Family share plan with the BIS addon. Would I have to drop the BIS and switch to one of the new iphone family plans? It would be nice if I could go back and forth and have email working on both devices without going back to cingular each time to modify my plans.

    Cheers!

I just found on AT&T's site where you can add a data plan only for users that have an existing calling plan. Maybe that would be worth a try before you go and pull off BIS.

Can you still access the internet over EDGE and send/receive text messages?

Hyper....so did you leave your BB data plan alone or did you have to take it off? Did you have to add the data only iphone plan for the data to work on the iphone?

    Thanks!

I didn't touch the BB service/data plan (just swapped sims). My BB plan is a corp plan from my company & I still need corp mail when I'm out of office.

Thus far everything works that I've tried except utube & visual vm. (who cares). When the sim is in the BB I get corp exchange mail as normal/can access the net, gmaps, etc.

I'm using my T-mobile / Blackberry (BES) sim in my iPhone without any problem (data works too).

Only problem I have is :

    - No data while roaming
    - No Blackberry email as the iPhone unfortunately doesn't support Blackberry Enterprise Server.... Still desperately waiting for some kind of corporate OTA email support (no company opens Imap on the internet....)
