hi all, i just wanna make sure, using zibree's BL downgrader to get to 3.9 BL from 4.6, does this give us the true 3.9BL, as in the same one that came with OOB 1.1.1?
so we can run all those utilities that were made for 3.9BL, like virginizer, bb downgrader, anysims, etc etc?
won't he get into copyright issues if it is indeed the true 3.9?

As far as I have read about bl 3.9, I think this will give you the same 3.9 that comes with the 1.1.1 fw's. And also be able to do mods that can be done on the original 3.9 bl's like reflashing and revirginizing your iphone. It also brings out the capability of having a full 1.1.3 with the bb of 04.013 and be able to use a fully functional locate me feature. Again this is based on what I have read and can anyone please correct me if I am wrong on anything I have just posted.

imvirus, remember that u wont be able to bring iphones w week 47 and newer to version 1.0.2 to virginize. I made this tutorial bypassing the need to even go to 1.0.2 and to avoid the tedious "waiting for iphone" message. UGHHH lolol peace

I would also like to remind those who have 4.6BL phones that it is currently impossible to software upgrade the BL back to 4.6 once ZiPhone has downgraded you to 3.9. Many won't care about this little issue, until a trip to the Apple Genius Bar is needed. You see, your serial number will alert them as to what BL you should have, and if it doesn't match you may be turned away. Of course, I have not heard of anyone having this happen to them yet, as Apple may not even check to see what BL you have. Just a chance you should be willing to take.

I gotta say, I think the odds of Apple checking your bootloader are about a million to one.

For starters, you have to jailbreak a phone to check its bootloader version - do you think they're gonna do that at the Genius Bar?
