But you can make calls, right? Does the iPhone not display the carrier's name (on top)?
Consider creating a custom carrier bundle for your carrier. Cehck here:

When building die custom firmware file with iPSW Builder, did you chick the "Advanced" option and checked Activate iPhone & Enable Baseband update & Neuter bootloader & Unlock Baseband & Autodelete Bootneuter.app?

you need to add in this window the two bootloader files. Check where to download.

If not, the iPhone is activated (by default) but not unlocked.

Build custom ipsw again (just that, not iPWN again) it again restore to it in iTunes and you are set.

Yep i did those that mention as listed in the guide.

Everything got well. Restored with custom firmware, restarted, Bootneuter kicks in, restarted again.

I got a fully functional iPod with flat signal bar.

I'd try antother fresh-made custom fw 1.1.4. If this ain't work I'd restore to Apples FW 1.1.4 and restart from scratch.
Have been using it on several iPhones from Mac and Windos, never ran into problems.

    I had the same

Failed to load source:http://www.touchrepo.com/repo.xml, reason:The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

about an hour ago, when building a test file. tested again 5 minutes ago to build a custom fw 1.1.4 the above error no longer shows up. Try building a new custom fw 1.1.4 and make sure to have all the option activated you need.

Guys, im using a sim card from Malaysia. When should i get my carrier's signal?

Should it be there the moment i restore the phone with custom firmware or after I install App Support?

I tried restarting the whole process...no luck
