[Advice] Tmobile 3G (1700/2100) possible?
It is my understanding that the RF Transceiver chip used by the iphone 3G (PMB 6952) supports the 3GPP band 4 that tmobile uses for 3G in the U.S. but that apple has disabled this band at the request of AT&T. While people have worked at unlocking the baseband firmware, has anyone looked at whether its possible to modify the baseband firmware to enable the 1700 band so that tmobile users (in the few areas tmobile 3g is available) can use 3g, or will the antenna/filter hardare not support it?
