Default [Advice] My iphone will not recogise the carrier after downgrading back to 1.1.4

    Please help me !!!!!
I upgraded my iphone to 2.0 which bricked it. I have managed to restore it back to 1.1.4 as well as unlock it, jailbreak it and all the rest of it(suing Ziphone and iLiberty). Only problem is I do not have any service with the Sim Card in and the Carrier section under Settings is no longer on the phone. The phone recognises the sim as it has a PIN number on it and I have to entre the PIN in to access the phone. The phone will sync, search the internet, intall from installed the whole lot I just cant get service to make a call. Its not the sim either I have put it in other phones and it works fine. I would appreciate if anyone knew what else I could do ??

Have you tried resetting the phone in settings/general/reset?

you phone probably isnt unlocked fully as you will still have the 2.0 baseband unless you downgraded it.
    Good luck

I have downgraded it several times from 2.0 to 1.1.4 - I have tried to reset the settings through the settings screen and my baseband is 04.04.05 is that correct ??

that would seem to be the correct baseband but unless you remember downgrading it it may have been corrupt. When you say updating it to 2.0 bricked it we are unsure what you mean a bricked phone is broken beyond software repair. You should check your imei number to see if the seczone is damaged. If your phone looses its unique Id on the gsm network it can be permanantlly blacklisted and you with no longer get service.
You could try installing bootneuter to unlock again as missing carrier list uasually means the phone I'd not unlocked. Be aware apple has built brick code into 2.0 which not much is known about yet.
If all else fails wait for the 2.0 unlock and hope it fixed your problem. It is well documented on this fourm not to update to 2.0 untill it is deemed safe.

Good luck hope you can get it working again

Okay sorry ! I am really new to all this stuff. What ever happened to it wiped everthing off of it and wouldn't even restore. I endeg up giving it to a friend of mine that was able to get it up and running again. Thanks heaps for helping me I really appreciate it (I really have no idea what I am doing) I have checked the imei number and it is still there. Does that mean that it hasn't been blacklisted ?? I am not sure how to install bootneauter. I have been to installed but it is not on the list. I have just tried pwning again and noticed that when the phone is connected the winpwn says that it is a 2.0.0.33 connected but itunes says its a 1.1.4 connected. Do you know what that means ??
Unfortunatly I was a little click happy and didnt read up about 2.0 before trying to install. STUPID I know !

if u r on 04.04.05, that is 1.1.4 baseband..then do one thing erase base band and reflash through iliberty...
    packages to select in iliberty..
    erase bootloader39baseband..
    reflash 04.04.05 baseband..
    then try and unlock..
