[Advice] iPhone 1.0.2 -> 2.0 Firmware?
Hello everyone. I'm currently using an iPhone with modem firmware 03.14.08_G and firmware 1.02 (1C28 if it matters). How would I go about updating to the new 2.00 firmware? I'm thinking of revirginizing and then simply waiting for the pwnage tool to be released and then update to 2.00. Would this work?
I currently have the 1,1 2.00 firmware which I wish to update to and I also wish to use t-mobile's t-zones for EDGE.
Thanks for your help. It's a good thing the tool isn't released yet so I won't do anything possibly foolish.

Viginizing is a good idea. Just dont update Installer on your 1.0.2 iPhone, the updated 3.1.1 wont work on it and you need it for virginizing.
You could wait for new pwnage tool to come out or virginize now and then update to 1.1.4 and park there.
I'd just wait if I were you.

Yes, wait is the wise thing to do right now

Thanks for the comments, that is precisely what I was thinking of doing (waiting for the pwnage tool for 2.00), I only had uncertainties of whether I was required to update to 1.1.4.

1.0.2 to 2.0 with Pwnage
I have a original Iphone and it was unlocked with Iphone.Unlock.no. Now I want to use 2.0 firmware. My Installer doesnt work anymore thus I cant Virginize my phone.
I have a few questions:
1. Do I need to "virginze" my phone before use PWNAGE?
2. Do I need to update or restore with 2.0 firmware from Itune before PWNAGE?
I would appreciate some help.

you guys need to virginize first just to be sure.
There is some people reporting not having problems going from an unvirginzed 1.0.2 straight to 1.1.4.
However there is a lot of people reporting a LOT of trouble going to 1.1.4 without virginzing.
Just do a search there are a lot of methods out there on how to do it, some include the use of installer some don't and some even tell's you how to fix your installer on 1.0.2.
Do a search and you will find a really easy way to virginize and move to 2.0

rugburn,
please review the information you are posting before posting it, you are sending people to follow a guide that was not designed for their current situation.
1.0.2 phones unlocked with previews versions of anysim and iunlock and unlock-fast can get seriously bricked for upgrading to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 or 2.0 without virginizing.
So please take this in consideration next time you suggest a guide for a phone on this state.
