[Advice] A bit lost with the no service issue
I'm a little bit loss with the amount of information there is about the the no service issue.
I purchased a new iphone in California last week and came to Canada (im with Rogers). It's a new 1.1.4 iphone.
I tried jailbreaking/unlocking using pwnage, iplus and ziphone.
Every single time, the jailbreak works perfectly as I can see installer and install whatever I want there but I cannot make a call because of the "no service" issue.
When I go in the settings, I can see My Number there and it's the good one.
I'm trying to understand the issue by reading the forum here but there are so many conflictual posts that im totally lost.
I read some posts saying it happens that I just need to try again.
I also read that it might a short circuit (???) and I have to open my iphone...
Can someone point me towards a clear explanation of what I should do?
I'm at my 3rd attempt and I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing a mistake...

Hi, welcome to the forum. Please, start fixing the title. You'll get more answers that way. Good luck

Hi duck900.
I'm not sure how to edit my title. The edit button edits only the text and not the title
I somehow fixed my issue.
The ONLY different thing I did was to put my own SIM card(not the generic one that comes with the iphone) in the phone before starting the jailbreak.

Good news!. As far as I know, you have to use your own SIM card when you're Activ, Jailb & Unlocking the iPhone. Well done anyway
