Default [Advice] 1.1.4 Geohot IPSF -> 2.0. Must wait for JB?

Have a 1.1.4 running 3.9BL with GeoHot IPSF unlock. This unlock is supposed to be upgrade resistant and I am tempted to go for the 2.0 upgrade, however, you need to run/install the signal.app program to get the baseband to actually unlock on bootup. Of course that means I'd need jailbreak ability. Any ideas on how to get around this restriction while we wait for the JB capabilty to be released?

I'm in the same position as you, just with Geohot 1.1.3.

So any advice about the best way to go to 2.0 would be appreciated. Is it just a case of waiting for the updated Pwnage, or would the fact it's been unlocked with Geohot mean a different process is required?

Well, the Pownage does a lot more than we'd need for us at this time. We are already (true) unlocked, so my understanding is that we just need a jail break solution (from whomever) that'd let us install the signal.app files and (theoretically) we'd be set.

Same for me. I think there is no way arround wating for the jailbreak. Aktivation alone is not enough. Btw, how do the guys that bought the "real" IPSF unlock manage to start the signal?

I have never needed to 'start the signal' on my IPSF phone with 1.1.4

then you have the ipsf unlock + some other unlock.

If you have only IPSF, you'll always need the signal app.

Yes, sorry, my bad, must be using anySIM on there too, had forgotten about that!
    Apologies for the confusion.

Have someone try to update firmware to 2.0 with ipsf, and see if there is a signal in the emergency panel screen????

Maybe we do not need signal.app with the 2.0 like it was in previous firmware up to 1.1.2 if I good remember.
    Who knows !

But we first need JB to be able to replace a patched lokdownd file to activate the phone. Hopefully, devteam will realise pwned tool quickly
