Hi!

I just bought an Iphone mostly for the joy of writing programs and doing hacks for it =)

I am on Verizon network, so I don't even have a GSM compatible service. Yesterday I downgraded my Iphone to 1.0.2 and activated it with Phone Activation Server.

What I'm wondering is, is there a way to activate and use the Iphone with no SIM card under 1.1.1 as well? I'm perfectly happy with 1.0.2, but I'm worried that people are going to start developing things for 1.1.1 and I'll be left in the dust.

Any thoughts on this? I could have chosen to buy an Ipod touch since I'm not even using the phone, but I figured that with a camera and bluetooth there will be more hacking oppurtunities for the future
