Default 30 EUR award for successful unlocking 1.1.1

    Hi folks!

I got 2 iPhones from USA back to Germany. There is trouble with unlocking them under 1.1.1.

    First iPhone:

I downgraded to 1.0.2 and got it working well. Everything (incl. Youtube) went fine.

Then I heard from a friend, that he unlocked his iPhone with 1.1.1. without a PC (he used the way with the *#307* call and the jailbreakme.com site).

I tried this too and upgraded my iPhone to 1.1.1 and then tried to unlock it. It failed and left a message "Incorrect Sim...". This message appears with the AT&T and my own SIM Card.

From now on, I am not able to downgrade back to 1.0.2 (iTunes says "Problem with iPhone, can't restore...").

Any tutorial I use, I am not successful.

    Second iPhone:

Same procedure from the beginning, but with the message "No SIM card installed". iTunes says: "Can't use iPhone, please insert SIM card first". But there is a SIM card in!!!

    My offer:

Maybe there is someone out there who is able to unlock my iPhone(s) remotely. I would open an IP Forwarding that you can access it via SSH.

My contact data: ICQ (89452575) or XFire (xxxnfshunter).

The award will be 30 EUR EACH unlocked and usable iPHONE (with Youtube, calling, ...). I know, that Voicemail won't work in Germany! I promise to remit the amount (30 EUR each unlock) IMMEDIATELY after success!

I spent about 30 hours now with those iPhones and am a bit tired...

    Please help me.

First iPhone : From what i've read on a few threads there is a certain trick into getting a 1.1.1. iPhone to downgrade to 1.0.2.

Here is a snipet from carlosvaldosta guide (turn the iPhone off first):

plug your phone into your PC, and as soon as the gray apple appears, press and hold both power and home buttons. Hold for exactly 10 seconds, then let go of just the power button.(If you look very closely, after about 7 seconds the screen will power down and pixelate, this is the lead in to the hidden restore state.) After about another 15 Seconds of holding down the Home button, itunes will find your iphone and say it needs to restore.

Shift - Restore and select the 1.0.2 Firmware. When it completes it will give you "1013" error message, press ok, and do not restore again... Just close itunes.

See rest of the guide : http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11038

If this helps my recommendation would be to donate the money to the DEV team.

Second iPhone : Not sure, sorry.

"Shift - Restore" means hold down shift on your keyboard and press the Restore button with your mouse in iTunes.

    Thanks for your replies.

I did that procedure several times (even with stop watch to check the 10 secs).

    No change.

    Try this:

    1) Download the latest iBrickr 0.91
    2) Connect your iPhone with 1.1.1.
    3) iBrickr will then assist you in downgrading to 1.0.2
Note: iBrickr does the hard part of starting the iPhone in hidden DFU mode
    4) When screen goes white open iTunes
    5) Hold down 'Shift' and press 'Restore'
    6) Select the 1.0.2. firmware file
    7) It should extract and restore without problem

Obviously your baseband will still be 1.1.1. you can downgrade it by following this guide:

    @Voodoo

Danke für die Antwort, nur habe ich keine PIN aktiviert. Ich hatte stattdessen den Passcode des iPhones genutzt, aber nicht die SIM Pin.

    Thanks, rjshearman,

    I will try it tonight.

Btw, this is just a way to downgrade from 1.1.1. to 1.0.2. and to unlock. But the aim is to get 1.1.1 unlocked and working....

    Cheers.

    Unfortunately not, strex...

I always insert the AT&T Sim when I try do jailbreak, restore or so other useful things with the iPhone. Except while using AnySim, I used my own Sim card.

    Wrd.
