Thumbs up [3.9BL] How i downgraded from 1.1.4 to 1.1.2

Dont know if this been posted before (or if what i did is the cool way of doing it :p) just my own experience. i read a post before with very lengthy procedure to downgrade to prevous firmware but i did only this and it worked just took 10 minutes

    1- "Erase 3.9BL Baseband" option from Ziphone2.5
    2- Baseband was erased.
3- put iPhone in DFU mode through Ziphone
4- iTunes will prompt you to do a restore
5- Shift+Click on "Restore" in iTunes and select the 1.1.2 firmware
6- iPhone will be restored to 1.1.2 along with the 1.1.2 baseband
7- Use Ziphone to jailbreak+activate+unlock you phone

and thats what i did.... :p

    Just to be clear though

    Modemfirmware is still 04.04.05_G

so its still the latest one ( i dont understand how is this the case even though i did erase the baseband???)

anyway i did the baseband erase cause itunes kept giving me error (1) when trying to restore 1.1.2 software. but after erasing baseband the restore operation completed fully and successfully

maybe ziphone flashes the lates baseband when unlocking? whatever a newer baseband is always good

USE DFU RESTORE (not iTunes logo and cable restore), and see for yourself ....

    mm i saw that
actually its easy but it goeas down to 1.1.3 not 1.1.2 which is what i want

shift+restore from 1.1.4 to 1.1.3 is no problem
problem is when going from 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 to 1.1.2 thats when the nasty error shows

DO NOT USE DFU MODE from ZiPhone itseld, use iBrickr to (fake) start downgrade to 1.02 and it will put your iPhone in DFU MODE, or put it manually ower down your iPhone, press SLEEP/HOME Together Release SLEEP but KEEP HOLDING HOME just before Apple logo appears ... since timing is importand try this :

    Download DFU - www.send$pace.com/file/93fx93 (change $ to s)
    Extract DFU folder to C:/
Go to the start menu and click Run, and type the following:
    c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu
Now hit OK, this will force your iphone into DFU mode. Now it should have a white screen.

And,if you in a mood, try now SHIFT+RESTORE and see if you get an 1 error ...
