    2G iphone that won't restore...either error 21,1601 or 1604
Hello I am new and my name is Allan and have no idea where the proper forum this belongs so I am sorry.

I am an American in Holland and bought a iphone off ebay from America that a person tried jailbreaking and got the phone stuck in the visual of the iphone connectingg to itunes. I have tried many thing like snowbreeze,ireb,redsnow...etc and what I can get it to is connecting to itunes but going to error while restore.

Now this is my first iphone so I am sure I am doing something wrong.

    maybe this will help..........

Okay, first make sure you are using an official IPSW, if you are unsure, download the firmware ipsw from Apple again.
Put your iPhone in DFU mode:
1-With the phone connected to the computer, hold home + power button for 10 seconds (use a timer).
2-Release power button but keep holding home, iTunes will pop up asking to restore.

Restore to an *official firmware* (Not custom!) and you should be okay.

I have tried that just won't restore.

I am an American in Holland and bought this on ebay. I have downloaded original firmware but nothing seems to let go past the errors.

    OK, try the following then:
1- Jailbreak with redsn0w (you need redsn0w 0.9.4, if I'm not mistaken); If that doesn't work:
2- Create a custom firmware, use PwnageTool: iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.1.3 Using PwnageTool (Mac)
