    Default 16GB bricked with ziphone

I just got my new iphone, put in the restore mode holding only home and tried to jailbreak, activate and unlock with ziphone.
It stopped at "searching for iphone", and I got the apple symbol loop.
I put it back in restore mode and tried to restore to 1.1.3 and I got an error 1406 after a few minutes that itunes was trying to prepare my iphone to be restored.
Then I tried everything possible, put in dfu mode, restore mode, try to restore to 1.1.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.3, and itunes always gives me an error after trying to prepare it.

    Im so desperate.

I hope someone can help me.

    Thanks

I tried that but still didnt work.
I think that maybe if I try to restore to 1.1.3 and try it again it may be a good idea.
But I just cant get around those Itunes errors. It doesnt let me do anything.

    Thanx for the help anyway

That's odd, my unlocks with Ziphone went through flawlessly.

If frustration peaks, just take it to apple and exchange. They'll do it just as long as you have original packaging and let them know it just didn't start up from get go and hasn't been activated.

You have to manually copy the DFU file from the firmware package of 1.1.3 to the iPhone using iPhuc, then type "cmd go". A new driver will install on your computer and you should be good to restore to 1.1.3 via iTunes

    @silap,
    see this thread: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...t=29797&page=2

Post#12. I ran into the same issue and that's how I got around it.

The GUI looks nice but I prefer the command line version.
I've tried one method each. Each time on a new 16 GB iphone

I could make it work installing the 7.5V of iTunes, putting it ind DFU mode, and restoring to 1.1.1 twice.

    Thanks everyone for the help

Don't you no longer have to physically put the iphone into recovery mode? Doesn't the ziphone program do it for you?
