    zsh: command not found: mv

after typign in the whole mv /var/root/Media /var/root/Media.old

    I tried on sshify-bat
I tried with installing , BSDsubsystem, openSSH, and sources.

whats up? why is this not working, I can connect to my iphone, but the mv command doesn't work

the first time I installed I used ibrickr, installed the things liek it says in the Tut here, I got a connection refused, so i googled, ran sshify-bat, i could connect
    no mv command either

after the second restore, I installed with ssify-bat first, tried to connect, same error, then i installed the things from ibrickr, still the same error.

restore the iphone is really irritating for me, is there any way i can fix this?
You have to have bsd, openssh install first before doing that command. That command is just to remove the symlink hack and naming the media.old to media so that itunes can sync. If you can do this just winscp back and manually rename it and remove it. Read page #2 by deadstick.

Don't just restore when you see a problem, relax and get some help first. If you are already on 1.1.1 and you can access the springboard you are OK.

Some random thoughts: The thing about 1.1.1 that I really like is the super responsive keyboard for email, sms, etc. I hate the 1.0.2 cause it is slower than my typing skill.

    Hi,
If I use the method mentioned below, do I have to go through the re-virginizing steps first?

IPSF/anySIM 1.1 firmware 1.0.2 Unlocked or OUT OF THE BOX 1.0.2 (jailbroken, ssh, bsd, patched lockdownd installed )--- Starts Here:

OUT of the box 1.0.2 - no need to re-virginize.

previous unlock 1.0.2 by old anySIM & similar variants - yes, need to re-virginize

previous unlock by paid IPSF - IPSF has their own solution for it.

to add 1 more, previously unlocked 1.0.2 using anySIM 1.1 ONLY- no need to re-virginze.

    LA20,
Can you double check on step 24? All those files that need to upload to iphone need to change to code 0755??? You never say anything about the killall file. Like where to put it and should we change the code to 0755 or not.

    Nice guide LA20!

I was successfull but have a couple comments.

Step 22 the line rm -r /private/var/root/Library/Installer returns an error no such file or directory. Seemed to have no impact at all on my results.

Step 24 you never mention to upload the killall file to the /System/Library/Lockdown folder.

Also in Step 29 you might want to strike the sentence on iAsign since that isn't used in your guide.

Thanks guys for helping, there was some confusion due to the new patched 1.1.1 lockdownd file. I have updated the guide again.

The rule of thumb is that, if you need to run a command than you have to change the permission to 0755. Hope this helps.

I ran a phone through this process a second time looking for ways to streamline this guide even more. You can eliminate the need for PuTTY. WinSCP can handle doing everything PuTTY does.

I also noticed a change that I bet helps everyone out. I have duplicated this particular error twice now so it has to be procedural.

Just before you run iphuc jailbreak.exe you should restart the iphone. I've noticed every time I follow the steps as written back on page 1 of this thread that / is always ro after doing the putjailbreak line and checking the fstab you download. The procedure if this happens is then to restart the phone and repeat the step with iphuc jailbreak. Every time I do this it then works the second time around. So why not just have everyone reboot to begin with?

I've also noticed sometimes openssh does not install the first time via iBrickr. You really have to check the mock image of the iphone to make sure what applications are installed on your phone.
