[1.1.4][ZiPhoned] Switching/crashing off automatically
Hi,
I have an Iphone 8gb 1.1.1 OTB upgraded to 1.1.4 and unlocked with Ziphone.
It used to work fine, had some freezing problems fixed with autobright off and never lock.
However now I have a starger problem. Without any particular reason or app use the iphone when on standby (screen turned off by pressing power button) it crashes as when I go to swtich the screen back on to use it, it odes not turn on so I have to restart the iphone (power + home). There is no specific timing for it to happen the iphone could be ok for 2 days then have the problem 3 times in a day.
Thanks in advance for any help you may provide

Just to be sure, I'll do a DFU restore. And Stay away from ZiPhone this time.

yep, or iLiberty. You'll find FAQ's, stickies and tutorials for both of them.

yeap iliberty is fast and reliable.
since you are already on 1.1.4 you wont need to unlock again since you baseband will not be touched by the restore.
however if you used ziphone to unlock and your BL was 4.6 ziphone downgraded it to 3.9 so you probable want to upgrade your Bootloader back to 4.6 and unlock there.
you can use Bootneuter to do that.

thanks guys.
jsalva.......since I was on 1.1.1 OTB do you think the basbeand that was 3.9 original has been upgraded?
Also how should I use bootneuter please if it has been upgraded? Sorry for the stupid questions but I stopped my hacking to Ziphone unfortunately so I am not uptodate on the new methods
thanks

if your phone was 1.1.1 OTB that means your BL was 3.9 so there is no need to use bootneuter to upgrade.
So dont worry about that, just do a normal restore as duck9000 sugested and then use iliberty or winpwn to jailbreak and activate

OOTB 1.1.1 came with bootloader 3.9 so StroZiPhone did not change anything there. Stay with BL 3.9 when unlocking with iLiberty or Winpwnage. You CAN change the bootloader but I would not if the iPhone is working then.
