[1.1.4] Ziphoned but apps issue > How to Restore/Re-Jailbreak/Unlock ?
hey!
I installed Cydia...
then i DLed Iphone pc suite... when i installed it it said i had a jailbroken iphone by ziphine (which is true) and i needed some patch to run pc suite for it to recognise the jailbroken phone. i added i.unlock.no to the sources. then i installed the fix. rebooted the iphone for changes to take effect. the iphone rebooted into recovery mode (connect to iTunes logo)
iTunes doesn't seem to recognize the iPhone, neither does winSCP nor PC suite...
what should i do? HELP ME PLZZZZZ

I hate telling people to restore, but I honestly dont know how to undo that patching process though. Anyone know? Had you just installed Cydia? Best advice is dont use ziphone, you wont have the closed file system problem with newer methods.

Sorry, but why is it so difficult to understand? Dhalilahma told you not to use ZiPhone but you did. I don't get it. The forum is full of users haveing massive problems up to fubar iPhones after using ZiPhone. That's why Dhalilahma pointed this out.
Sorry for that buts lots of users here are helping ppl that got stuck after using ZiPhone, and still ppl use it. Consider yourself lucky your iPhone still works.
You have to DFU restore to 1.1.4 first. then you can use winpwn.
best,

man #1 don't give me the attitude! i bought the ziphone jailbroken phone and didn't know anything about it.
#2. my question was simple and plain: i know ziphone is not a good solution for unlocking so how can i jump to other method with minimall pain and hassle.
read the comments and give them a thought before spitting out yours.
luck.

Man... I can't believe you said that.
Volkspost is the nicest person. Period !!.
No one is giving you attitude. People is asking you why you decide to use ziphone eventhough you know it is bad. That is all.
There is a sticky post warning / begging people not to use ziphone.
there is a sticky thread on how to use iLiberty+.
There is a sticky thread on how use use pwnagetool.app or winpwn
If you don't want to read any of that, you can go to iclarified.com and look at tutorials.
