Thanks, will try this night. I don't fear it bricking my iPhone; you can always downgrade or reset to re-do all the things.

So you had an iphone which was 4.6BL and you restored updated to 1.1.4 through iTunes. Then you just did jailbreak and activate and you could use an O2 sim that was not meant to be for an iphone contract??

And you didn't unlock your phone (i.e. downgrade to 3.9?)

    ??

If I simply use activate and jailbreak, then can i use *sim to unlock to any network? rather than downgrade bootloader

Will same-carrier-non-iphone-contract-sims work if we just do an activate and jailbreak but *NOT* an unlock?

I wanna know cause I don't want to downgrade my bootloader if possible and I use an O2 simplicity sim.

You sure? I tried and got no signal until I unlocked. I have an AT&T account through work for a Treo, which up until 1.1.4, I had been using in my jailbroken and "hacktivated" (but still locked) iPhone.

No I did not do it yet, but when I went to 1.1.3 I upgraded after removing all my apps (few); instead of restoring. As Zibri says, "Because installer keeps old
installed apps in it's cache and you (c)would have problems."

Personally, you should not have any problems; if you remove your apps first.

    SHORT TUTORIAL

    I just unlocked a BRAND NEW 16GB iPhone [1.1.3 OTB - 4.6 BL]

Just taken out of the box literally - never ever switched on!

    1. Press the HOME button and keep > plug the iPhone to your Mac. In few seconds you'll enter in Recovery mode (iTunes Icon without the "slide for emergency call")

    2. Restore to 1.1.4 [wait few minutes untill iTunes takes you to the 3-steps-activation screen]

    3. Press Cancel on the activation screen in iTunes and Eject the iPhone.

    4. Close iTunes and iTuneshelper [using activity monitor]

    5. Run ZiPhoneOSX.app [2.5]

    6. Click "Do it all!" and then Start process

    7. have a coffe... [takes 3-4 mins.]

    8. Plug your SIM in and... That's it!

16GB iPhone OTB with EVERYTHING working with carrier: TIM in Italy
    FW 1.1.4
    Modem FW 04.04.05_G

Will this option restore BL from 3.9, if it was previously downgraded from 4.6 to 3.9?
    No problem, Bnet.
