Mine is the same when I'm browsing the Tinterweb, but when using Cydia or Installer, the download speed is quite fast (around 500k ps from most decent sources).

It doesn't seem to matter what the signal strength is either, I can be right down the garden and get a really poor signal, but it'll still download quickly using the source downloaders, but really slow using Safari.

MXTube, for example, downloads a 30mb file in around a minute over my wireless router, but loading the BBC Web site can take just as long (surely not 30mb's worth of Java?).

Is it just surfing that's slow for you?

    I've upgraded from 1.1.1 - 1.1.4 using iLiberty+ (with no issues)...

Try to replace your DNS settings by 208.67.222.222

It could be a problem with the name resolution .

ping your router from your phone (using Term-VT100) to see the delay and if you've got packet loss.

What encyption are you using on your router? If you have WPA PSK (Pre-Shared Key), it may be that the encryption routine is slowing your connection speed between the phone and the router (possibly?)

Try taking your encryption off your router altogether (as a test) to see if it speeds up your connection to the iPhone.

(Don't forget to put your encryption back on your router again when you've finished testing )

I can't help any on this further I'm afraid, as I've not seen any examples of multiple iPhone devices connecting at different speeds to the same router... If you have a friend who has an iPhone, see if they are getting similar speeds when connecting to your router.
