[1.1.4] Virginizing BL 4.6 iLiberty Unlocked
Dear Members,
Having a really bad dead strip problem (bottom of the creen do not respond anymore...and i doesn t seem to be a software problem according to all post...)
on my iphone, I want to return it to apple
but i need to virginize "completely" the iphone
I tried to downgrade to original 1.1.2 without succes...got an error code 1015..
Anyway, i do not mind staying with 1.1.4 before going to an apple store, but i wanted to know if putting the iphone to DFU mode an the redownloading a proper
1.1.4 would not leave any chance of "tracing" previous installations....?
If not so, how could I "really" virginize my Iphone.
Thanks to all

no, if you are on 1.1.4 right now then a restore will not reflash your baseband. and you also need to upgrade your BL back to 4.6 (if you downloaded it to 3.9) i recommend you use bootneuter to do that and after that then you can restore

I'm having a hard time finding instructions on restoring your phone using boot neuter. I am trying to do the same thing but don't want to do it without good instructions on what needs to be set when moving back to 4.6. Does Neuter need to be off? What about FakeBlanki? I assume baseband should be set to Unlock: Off?
any help would be appreciated so I can restore my phone to factory. According to some members on here, since my serial number has '51', i shoulod of had 4.6 LB from factory. They said to do a restore to 4.6 BL and then restore firmware to 1.1.4.
Just need help on doing these steps as I am worried of killing the phone in the process. My dead screen area is also on the bottom preventing the use of a lot of functions, worste part being typing! Space bar, enter, and the symbol key don't work!

Dude,
Its easy:
The options you need to put on bootneuter are:
Version = 4.6
Neuter = off
Fake Blank = off
Unlock = Off
thats if you want to put you phone factory default, after you flash it with bootneuter then you restore to 1.1.4 with itunes.
Remember you need to have you phone set autolock to never and install BSD before flashing with bootneuter
-
Thanks, I just tried this. Made sure I turned off autolock, and then used installer and installed BSD from system tools. However, after a while it came back and says:
The bootloader flash succeeded but the baseband flash failed (Error -3328).
Any suggestions?

Anyone? Do I need to put it back to 3.9 and unlocked to try it again?
-
your original BL is 4.6 so leave that at 4.6.
You want to return to apple so why do you want to unlock it?
-
-
Well yes, I want to keep it locked but wasn't sure what to do at this point since it failed to flash the baseband. Any ideas why it failed to flash the baseband? What do I need to do to get it to corectly flash the baseband so I can return this to the apple store?
-
Ok, sorry for the many posts. I tried it again, and it worked. Says both bootloader and baseband were flashed.
anythying I can do to confirm before I go to the apple store? Would like to make sure I am set before just handing them the phone...
