[1.1.4][Virginize Advice] Need to send phone back to Apple

What is the best way to virginize an 1.1.2 OTB which is now on 1.1.4.

The phone was dropped on the floor and now half of the touch screen wont work so I am chancing sending it back to Apple hoping they will fix it for me, whether free or not I dont mind paying but its no use to me the way it is right now.

I will need a virinizing technique that doesnt require using half of the touch screen though

hmmm, problem....

its the top half of the screen thats the problem so I can open SETTINGS but I cant enter my WIFI password or even select it

just use the restore option in factory settings. you shouldnt need to use the screen at all.

but a restore will not relock the phone so Apple wont know it has been unlocked before will it?

depends on which unlock method you used. Your OOTB 1.1.2 iPhone came with bootloader 4.6. If that one was downgraded during the unlock you could use Bootneuter to get back the bootloader first. Problem is if you can reach all settings for bootneuter on the broken screen then.
If you used Pwnage Tool, you can use it again to relock, then restore to 1.1.4 Apple firmware and return it to Apple.

Please provide some details on the iPhone like unlock method.

i think it would be better to get a new screen. they are getting pretty cheap. by the opening of the old iphone is bonding yourself to your phone much like your favorite pet.

hmmm... cant remember how I unlocked it. it was either Ziphone or iPlus. But most likely Ziphone. it didnt have any wifi issues though.

I'm having a similar issue, and want to try and get my iPhone serviced. I originally had a 1.0.2 phone, which I unlocked with anySim. Then I re-virginized my phone and upgraded to 1.1.2 and unlocked again with the anySim 1.1. I just can't remember which way I unlocked 1.1.4, though I know I didn't use either pwnage or ziphone.

What is the best way to re-lock my phone to get it serviced? Once it is locked, and I have the AT&T sim installed, does it matter that the phone isn't activated when I bring it in for service to Apple?
