Default [1.1.4 upgrade][1.0.2 OTB] Really long restore time (>30 mins)

    Quick question:

How long should a restore take from 1.0.2 to 1.1.4? I just re-virginized my phone (no errors) and then plugged it in to do a restore. I first tried to do a shift-restore and a bunch of text flashed on the screen and it ultimately gave me error 1603. This time I rebooted and put it in restore mode by holding the home key. It began the restore process without a problem, however it has been on "Restoring iPhone firmware..." for over 30 minutes now. Is that normal? If not, what should I do? My iPhone is feeling pretty toasty as well. Not burn your hands hot, but long call hot.

    thanks,
    fr0

Try a different USB port or different computer.

Also use DFU mode to restore

Thanks. How do I interrupt the process without risking further damage to my phone?

Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until the phone powers off.

Thanks NSLog! I was able to reboot it, although iTunes could no longer restore it again. I used iLiberty+ 1.51 to kick it out of restore mode, and sure enough I had no IMEI or ICCID. I tried a regular restore and iTunes kept telling me it could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone." I thought I was sunk, but I used iLiberty+ again to enter DFU mode and this time I was actually able to properly restore my phone. It came back in 1.1.4 with no problems, and I was able to pwn it and get it all setup. It's working like a charm at the moment and hopefully that won't change. Thanks again!
