    Default [1.1.4] Unlocking advice please

    Hi guys,
My iPhone is due to arrive tomorrow, I have been reading all weekend on methods to unlock/activate it, and I feel iLibertyX is the way forward. But before I try anything just thought i'd say hi and ask for opinions.

First off, what I want to do is unlock my UK iPhone to work on any network (not just o2), maintaning all original functionality of the iPhone. So just activate/unlock.

At first I wanted to use ziphone, but permanently downgrading the BL to 3.9 from 4.6 is not nice, so the 3.9Fake on iPlus/iLiberty sounds more appealing, not to mention that i've read several posts with people saying they have wifi issues after using ziphone.

If i'm to use iLibertyX to activate/unlock/downgrade to 3.9Fake, would all the features of the iphone work and remain as they would be if I were using an o2 sim card? Is iLibertyX the best solution or is there anything else you would recommend I use?

    Many thanks to all,

Also, can any one tell me if there are any difference between iPlus and iLiberty, as i understand it iLiberty is just iPlus with a GUI, so the unlocking/activating/jailbreaking methods should be the same? or am i wrong?

And what is the risk factor with these apps in ending up without an iPhone?

Thanks in ad avance to anyone that replies.

P.S. these forums are great! glad i came across them, so much interesting info to digest . :-)

Congrats on your first iPhone! Yes iLiberty+=iPlus, but iLiberty+ is GUI. You just need to go on 3.9Fakeblank bootloader,BUT i reccomend you to stay on 4.6 bootloader with 04.02.13_G baseband.... Becaurse Pwning will be released(next week) you will PWN your iPhone,so you can have the new baseband, however use iLiberty+ or iPlus. DO NOT USE ZIPHONE!
