Default [1.1.4]Stuck at boot (ulocked w/ ziphone 2.5c)

Hey guys, I'm having some troubles with my unlocked iphone.
As of a few days ago, I started experiencing SMB crashed every time I was receiving a call, thus preventing me from answering it.
Yesterday night I removed some apps (with Installer) and when I got back to the summerboard the "reloading" icon was looping endlessly.
So I hard-rebooted the phone (home and power-on buttons presses) and now it only gets as far as the apple logo. The good news is that it is recognized by itunes and I was able to sync my data.

I am running 1.1.4 activated/JB'ed/unlocked with ziphone 2.5c (process done circa february 5th, 2008) but I am not sure what the good restore procedure is.
Should I go ahead with itunes and simply restore as usual?
Should I use the ziphone refurb tool?
Should I use some other virginizer tool?

    Thanks

Restore to 1.1.4 in iTunes and use either Pwnage or iLiberty+

After the unlock setup the phone in iTunes as a new phone.

if I set the iphone as a new phone, will I be able to restore the backup I previously saved?

No you will not be able to restore from the previous backup. The recommended setup for a pwned phone is to never restore from backup unless your phone was not previously jailbreaked!
