ziphone works.... if nothing works maybe it is a HW problem

I have the same problem. NO SIM, only emergency calls.

I tried to put a piece of paper in the PortSim in order to make a little bit more of pressure in the tarjet but nothing....

In Spain we have no technical assistance for Iphone, so I will hace to open it under my risk, and most probably is that I won´t see anything.

Can we desire it is a software problem?????

ziphone is safe only on an iPod Touch -- because it has no baseband to mess up

On an iPhone, ziphone carries all of these risks:
- can cause grey wifi
- can cause flakey wifi
- can cause corrupt bootloader (true brick)

There are threads for all of these ziphone outcomes in this forum.

Anyway, I have tried with the iLiberty too and the problem of NO SIM is still the same, Iphone does not recognize any Sim inside him.
I think it has to be a HW problem...bad news for me

Any updates? Hoping you found a solution. I can't figure out why your having that problem. You could try the basics. restart iphone, etc.
I did the same exact thing you did a month earlier ( 1.1.4 OTB/ziphone 3/new SIM )
and ALL works fine.

What do you mean with NEW SIM? That iphone detected it?

I have tried to restore to 1.1.4 and pass the Ziphone a lot of times and nothing. I even try to install the 1.1.1 but Itunes gives me an error and bricks the phone. I could repair it restoring again to 1.1.4 but the problem remains

I don't take part in this fight in any way but i did 400+ in the ziphone era and nothings happens to my customer. it is very ridiculous and boring to read all the time this teenager's disscussions. It make more pages to read just for nothing. GET A LIFE!!!!

Actually i had the same problem for quite sometime. I even gave up on trying and decided to wait maybe for a new update from Apple. Today i wanted to give it a try and i had it fixed.

First of all my phone was 1.1.2 OTB but had a 3.9BL. Was using it with turbosim until the day i had no sim card installed error. I waited for a new firmware to be released and used ziphone 2.4 with 1.1.4. i had it fixed again. But the day after i had the same error. Resetting network and all settings didnt work at all. Tried many apps including iplus, ziphone3, iliberty and all kind of different methods but what worked for me was ipwner which you can get info from hackthatphone.com. complete link is ---> http://www.hackthatphone.com/114/iphone_pwnage_mac.html

actually i did the same as it shows on guide but what i did was also update my BL from 3.9 to 4.6. i created the custom .ipsw file and used it on Windows iTunes.

Hope this info helps you ppl or to developers which kinda get the same error mails. Tho i am not sure i will have the same error tomorrow morning when i wake up but i hope i dont.
