The phone came into my possession because a guy at the Genius Bar had a locked phone. After the ''genius'' decided it was an attempted hack he informed the gentleman that there was nothing he can do but have the guy buy a new phone. So he did. I then asked him if i could keep the phone as it was not worth anything to him anymore and he said sure. go for it.

So now I'm stuck. I have a 1.1.4 otb 16g iphone.

i get no response from my sim card(att)
no wifi
no IMEI
no bluetooth 00:00:00:00:00:00
no sound

I have searched endlessly for the past week and a half and have come across no solutions.

If anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Restore to 1.1.4 using iTunes and report back
the error that it displays.

unable to get it to go to 1.1.4 now for some reason. i did however get it to go to 1.1.3 after about 18 minutes of waiting. jeeeez. i would totally skip this bs if i could figure out a way to get the phone warrantied. the phone has about 5 months left on it. but im not the account holder and am unsure as to how that would really work out
