[1.1.4] Minicom Results > What does this mean?
Hi,
I have a OTB 1.1.2 phone which has been downgraded to bl 3.9 and now has FW 1.1.4 but has "NO Service" problem.
Can someone tell me what the following output means:
Welcome to minicom 2.2

Port /dev/tty.baseband
Press CTRL-A Z for help on special keys
AT S7=45 S0=0 L1 V1 X4 &c1 E1 Q0
OK
AT+XSIMSTATE=1
+XSIM: 2
+XLOCK: "PN",1,0
OK
Thanks

This output means your phone is either locked or unlocked with anySIM (or similar tool). It shows you did not use IPSF/GeoIPSF and that the unlock counter is not increased.

I've never used anysim on this phone - the only thing i used was Ziphone 2.5c - Is this why I have the "NO Service"?

Ziphone's unlock is a patch just like anySIM unlock. Many people have used Ziphone 2.5c and it worked. This is certainly not the reason for your "No Service" problem.
Please tell me a little more 'bout your problem, so I can help you...
Tell me:
What did you do with Ziphone
What have you done so far to fix it
What firmware and Modem Firmware (Settings > General > About)
Do you get "No Service" or just no signal ?

Thanks for the response.
I started off with an OTB 1.1.2 phone that was only jailbroken and activated as I used a non iphone o2 sim card in it.
I then restored to 1.1.4 the clicked the DO IT ALL button on ziphone 2.5c.
I now have the NO Service issue.
On the advice of other members of this forum I have downgraded to 1.02 - when I get to 1.02 or 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 I have an 0049 IMEI?
When I asked about this I was told to Virginize - this did not fix my IMEI problem?
Funny thing is that my IMEI is correct in firmware's 1.13 and 1.14 but I get the NO Service thing.
I have also tried running the Ziphone refurbish thing etc.
I am now at the stage when I am thinking it has got to be something to do with the IMEI in the lower firmwares - Any help would be appreciated.

So, in firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 the IMEI is OK. When you reboot does it appear "Incorrect SIM" ? Also, please tell me your Modem Firmware, you can find at Settings > General > About
Ps. Which tool did you use to virginize?

Hi,
In Firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 my IMEI is ok.
In those firmwares I don't get the incorrect Sim message.
My Firmware is 04.04.05_G
Thanks

Element - Thanks again for you help last night - but it still has the same error.
I'm now totally confused:
If I restore to 1.1.4 I have the correct firmware and IMEI.
Then If I erase the baseband using ieraser then DFU restore to 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 using Itunes it restores the baseband for 1.1.3??????? (remember i erased the baseband on 1.1.4)
If I then erase the baseband manually while on 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 and then flash it with the correct baseband for the firmware my phone reverts back to IMEI 0049?
Any Ideas would be good.
