I thought the safest way to install 3.9FakeBlank was under 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 with Airplane mode on.
iPlus wants you to start with a fresh 1.1.4 restore.
How does it install the fakeblank safely?

I believe it downgrades the BL the same way ziphone does but the 3.9FB is used instead of the 3.9OEM.

Ok...if it is reversible then i guess there is no harm in downgrading. But assuming I dont do that and keep the 4.6BL and instead use th unlock method that downgrades the baseband from 4.04 to 4.02. In that case what is the downside to having the 4.04 instead of the 4.02? How does that affect my using the iPhone?

for making the things clear, at the moment you have 2 possibilitys for a 1.1.4 phone if you want to unlock them:
1) Bootloader 3.9 with baseband 4.04
2) Bootloader 4.6 with baseband 4.02
when you use ZiPhone your 4.6 Bootloader will be downgradet to an orignal 3.6, but if you use this software(iPlus, SoLoR ecc..) your bootloader will be downgradet from 4.6 to a moddet version of 3.9 so that you can upgrade back later if you want.

1.0.2 -> 3.14
1.1.1 -> 4.01
1.1.2 -> 4.02
1.1.3 -> 4.03
1.1.4 -> 4.04
These are firmware and baseband versions that match. If you stay on 4.6BL you can run 1.1.4 but with a baseband of 4.02. This is a mismatch and makes certain features not work properly. It's best to have the baseband and firmware matching. This 3.9FB gives you the ability to use the 1.1.4 firmware and have 4.04 baseband while still maintaining the ability to go back to the 4.6BL if the need arises. This is what you were asking about in the last thread and I replied to you. This is the reason I said wait but I had no idea these guys would have this out so fast!! Amazing!!

It's the idea. The same stuff you get on iBrasil and brPhone1.1.2/1.1.3 you will get with iPlus's "BR pack".

You have to make the necessary changes to the do_payload.sh script to reflect whatever you have removed.
May I ask what you want removed and why? (my guess VT100)

I think your software may be what I'm looking for.
Please read this thread and comment: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32935
