I have read all the posts in this thread and everything seems to be positive, this is what i have been waiting for, an answer by the devteam to ziphone (which I never tried, good for me.). My case is, I have OTB 4.6 fw 1.1.2 8GB iphone which I downgraded to 1.1.1 j/a then updated to 1.1.2 j/a/u with gunlock. I have tried 1.1.3 but hated the constant crashing so I reverted to 1.1.2. Now, can I use your Iplus method if I skip updating to 1.1.3 and go directly to restore to 1.1.4 from 1.1.2f/w???
Our WIFI's speed has slowed down lately (ISP issues!) and I just want to skip all the 1.1.3 part. can I do this method by going direct to 1.1.4 from either 1.1.1 or 1.1.2??? This is a very good job that the devteam has done. DONATIONS for this work is absolutely worth it!!!
By the way in average how long does this process takes???
Yes you can go direct to 1.1.4, i did go from 1.1.2 OOTB to 1.1.4 (iTunes restor)

kindly guide me ..
1. No you dont have to put your sim card for the unlocking process.
2. No you dont need to add your country code it is there already by default.
I am using iPhone in India (New Delhi) Aitrel since last year & no problems on all version of Firmaware starting 1.1.1 to 1.1.4.

ZiPhone unlocks, activates, jailbreaks and downgrades in one single step, so why do you think downgrading using this blankthing in 12 steps is better? I'm lost there!

Better because it doesn't downgrade the bootloader to factory 3.9 (from where you can't go back) but to 3.9FB (with total bootloader freedom).

To have Location, to have baseband (modem firmware) matching with main firmware (you never know, they may work better together), to be able to unlock in the future even if you accidentally install an evil super-locked Apple firmware+baseband update. You may not know it, but ZiPhone downgrades your bootloader to factory 3.9 by default, and you'll be stuck with it... Use this one.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.
Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
* on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
* on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

When you have unlocked your phone with iplus1.1, how do you verify that you have a 3.9FB?

Just one suggestion though. Why don't you add a reset feature to bring the BL back to its original state? I mean, my only concern in this application is that there isn't a clean/clear solution how to restore my BL from 3.9FBL to 4.6OriginalBL (even 4.6FBL).
Thanks again
You're more likely to find that in the specialized bootloader-changing application iphone-tools. There's even a GUI for it. See http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...683#post245683

What unlock method is used?
I think somebody mentioned it earlier but I just want to make sure before I use iplus:
I have a 3.9BL 1.1.1OTB that is now on FW1.1.2/ 04.02.13_G and want to use iplus to go to FW1.1.4. My question is: what is the unlock method that is used in iplus? Is it anySIM-type (I believe this is what ziphone uses) or is it gunlock/something else?
Thanks

Can it be modified to do the following instead?

You have to modify payload.zip (in the iPlus1.1 folder): put installation packages in or take them out. Then you must put the installation instructions in do_payload.sh (inside payload.zip), or take them out as necessary.
Problem is, as Aviegas explained here,

This application iPlus1.1 is screaming for a GUI solution, where you can simply select or deselect any of a list of tweaks, fixes and packages you might like to include. Like nLite or UBCD4Win, if you know what I mean.

I have an easy question that I hope nobody have done already. I have a 16gb 1.1.3 otb. Can I unlock directly with iplus without upgrading? Possibly I will upgrade later.
Thx
