Quick question, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I have a currently unlocked 1.1.1 phone. Came out of the box as 1.1.1, downgraded to 1.0.2, unlocked with iphonesimfree and then upgraded / jailbreak back to 1.1.1 using iNdependence.

Is it safe for me to use iPlus on my phone? Do I need to reunlock it?

If it is safe, then all I have to do is upgrade my phone to 1.1.4 using iTunes and then run iPlus from the terminal on my Mac right??

sorry if this is already answered somewhere!

yes, you can use iPlus, but make sure you option + RESTORE your phone to 1.1.4, and not update, and yes, use terminal in your mac. once you're done, do not restore your old backup. set up the phone as a new phone

when you use iplus, it JB and activate. I'm thinking if the activate from iplus has anything to do with your youtube. I don't know yet.

You're on a MAC, when you run ./iplus, it calls ipdo. There is a line in the iplus script that says:

    ./ipdo -a -j $1

that's where the -a is specified.

I think you can modify the script to take out -a so you have ONLY jailbreak when you run ./iplus

Note: the -u is optional if you want unlock.

In a nutshell, i think that is how you can do only JB with a legit AT&T activated phone.

Above is just my comment, I would wait for Avegias to respond.
don't modify the script if you don't know what you are doing.
This is my thinking also.. Maybe somehow the double act overwritten something on a legit AT&T account. If so this is one of those times that u get penalized being legit

just restart the process. put your phone back in recovery mode, restore again and start over

    Thank you!

Do I need the libreadline file?

Because this iClarified Tutorial says I need it but the HackThatPhone Tutorial doesn't mention anything about the libreadline files. ..?

    Which tutorial should I follow?

i followed the hackthatphone manual as i thought it was much much easier to follow and clearer. and if you scroll ALL the way down to the bottom to troubleshoot, he actually does mention the file there. what you should do, before you start, is download that file by clicking on the link he gave at the bottom of the page, create that path (not on your desktop. use your finder) and put the file in there, and that should take care of it. mine didn't work the first time and i did have to manually place the file in the path mentioned. good luck

i believe that's an issue with a file being misplaces or corrupted. this has been discussed many times actually in this thread. do a search in the thread (i'd give you an answer but i can't remember waht the solution was)
