That was it ! not changing the root password... and I can now install apps at will... man, I spent so long hours on it last saturday, I had almost gave up...
2 things though:
- in all the forums I've read, nobody (but jtesnani) has mentionned root passwd is broken since 1.1.3, so that would have been great to mention it at/during/after iplus install (untill it's fixed...). sorry if I let go my frustation here...but hope my experience will help others...
- anyway, its an easy security breach to let the default root passwd (same on all iPhones..)...
iPlus still the best !
youtube is ok after iplus2.0b be sure you restored it correct...no timeout bla. bla.
all is just working fine now on 2.0b, btw who has the payload w/ load summerboard3.2 cant

Hi, I have question about making personal payload.zip, too. I try to make a zip file containing BossTool.zpp, BossPrefs.app, BBInfo.app, and SysInfo.app, which are downloaded from my iPhone using Cyberduck. I make them as Tools.zip using Mac Finder. Then I add these lines in do_payload.sh:
The above codes are added just before the last line:Code:if [ -r ${PL_DIR}/${PL}/Tools.zip ]; then do_cmd "* installing tools... *" unzip -q -o -K -X ${PL_DIR}/${PL}/Tools.zip -d /Applications echo "* *" echo "* Done! *" echo "* *" fi
After restoring my iPhone to 1.1.4, and runing iPlus 2.0b, I got the message like these:Code:# Sign it! cp -f ${PL_DIR}/${PL}/Install_Signature /.Install_Signature
I don't know what this means. After unlocking, the phone works great, but only BossPrefs was shown on my springboard. Others in Tool.zip were gone. In addition, the BossPrefs didn't work properly, so that I need to reinstall it via Installer. I was confused.2008-03-14 09:39:13 -0700 Applications Library System bin bin2 cores dev do_payload.sh etc mach private sbin tmp usr var installing tools... I really want to make a personal Tool.zip such that every time I restore it, I can use iPlus to make my phone function as I want it to be right after unlocking. Can anyone help me out?
Any comment is appreciated. Thank you very much.
iPhone 1.1.2 OOB
OMG!
If you want to unlock keeping your 4.6BL then you will have to have the 4.02 baseband (Which is the 1.1.2 Baseband). Iplus does not do this, it only unlocks 3.9BL whether 3.9FakeBlank or 3.9Orig...if you run iplus -u on a 4.6 BL it will be downgraded.
So if you have an unlocked 4.6BL phone with 4.02 BB firmware, then restoring in iTunes Will remove unlock as it upgrades baseband to the 1.1.4 Baseband.
Hope this makes things more clear.
will somebody clear the freakin matter with **********...so many posts and still people are confused..in page one if u copy paste the address to a new window and remove the spaces it won t work....
additionally.... if after files you write: /international.zip.html....won t work
if u write /payload_international.zip.html won t work either...
what on earth is the right address...
an ftp address provided above includes payload of about 8mb...which based on the forum...IS NOT the right version!
Why are sooo damn many people confused?? Just click the links and then you will get an error page in IE, just delete everything to the left of the ".com"and retype manually "www.rapid share" (without space) before the ".com" part and click enter. Voila! No more to it!!
I'll make it even easier to understand:
If you click on link for iPlus2.0b you will get this in adress bar:
REMOVE (DELETE) "http://r%20a%20p%20i%20d%20s%20h%20a%20r%20e" and replace it with "www.rapid-share" (without dash) so it becomes "www.rapid-share.com/files/99216205/iPlus2.0b.zip.html"
Similarly with the other links...just remove the garbage part of the url and replace it with www.rapid-share (without dash)
