a restore will wipe your phone completly and put back default.
Yeah, thats what i was asking. Thanks a lot,
i tought that a restore(with Recovery mode) wouldnt wipe you iphone completly, just the essential stuff.
Thanks,

I'm sure this question has been answered before, but I can't for the life of me find any info.
I unlocked my 1.1.3 OTB phone using this tutorial:
[Tutorial] How to easily unlock OTB 1.1.2 and 1.1.3
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...light=upgrader
This used the i.unlock.no unlocker
I have never downgraded my bootloader using any tool. Still on 4.6.
If I restore it to a clean 1.1.4, am I safe to use iplus? Will everything work? Some people seem to be having trouble with the phone recognizing non at&t sims. And what is the best way to restore it before using iplus?

Yes
Yes

Most people have no problem.
And what is the best way to restore it before using iplus?
Put your iPhone in DFU mode then restore to 1.1.4 from iTunes 7.6.1.

if i just run iplus with out -u just to activate and jailbreak, will it still downgrade my Bootloader or only if run it with -u
-
-
No it will not unlock or downgrade BL unless specifically asked to do so!

I have an 1.0.2 iphone with FW 03.14.08._G, jailbreaked, unlocked and activated with IPSF. Is it possible to restore the phone directly to 1.1.4 and to use iplus after the restore? Will everything work after?
I have to put my phone in DFU mode to restore to 1.1.4 from iTunes 7.6.1, is this correct?
After the restore I just have to jailbreak the phone again, or have I also to unlock and/or activate the phone again?
Thx for your help.

Just to confirm, I just did use iplus2.0b yesterday to unlock a week 10 (2008) iPhone in 15 mins without a single issue.
It was a brand new phone and I didn't know which firmware it had (OTB 113 or OTB114) so when I got it unpacked I put it in DFU mode and restored to 114 in iTunes. Then ran iplus -u. It activated/jailbroke/unlocked it including putting on terminal/installer/ssh/bsd
. Non ATT card here FYI.

if i have a legally activated iphone (t-mobile germany) and just want to have installer on it, should i use iplus? i gues without the -u option, right? but i do just need a jailbreak, no activation, donīt i? any option for just jailbreaking?
