Following the guide, I have installed BootNeuter, it shows my version is 3.9.

I first unlocked the iphone with ZiPhone (2.5 I think), and the battery drain was terrible, I am not sure if I should upgrade it to 4.6...do I need to do something else?

I have restored to 1.1.4 with iTunes, jailbrake and unlock with iLiberty+ as suggested in your complete guide, doing a complete new installation of my iPhone.

Upgraded the bootloader with Bootneuter to 4.6, and still the life battery is terrible. Have no other applications running apart from the standard ones plus SysInfo and Services (to monitor Edge, Wifi, Buletooth).

I mentioned in a previous post that the iphone was unlocked with ziphone. I have noticed there are reports of battery problems with the application, is this a permanent error?

Are there any suggestions to overcome this terrible battery life issue? (have tried the wifi off/Ask to join networks off / Autolock Never.

20 to 24 hours standby and 3 hours of usage. Is this normal?

I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Another way to solve this would be to use a custom carier bundle. Search the forum, I have setup a website doing this for you. There is a value in the carrier.plist file where you can set the voicemail number for your provider.
Check Speedy's solution first.

I have two iPhones for testing purposes as you see in my signature. Both run 3-4 days with using the phone every now and then or 2 1/2 days when using the phone function more frequent. StronZiPhone caused a lot of problems...
As far as I can see, you tried everything you can for now. Once the Dev Team releases Pwnage Tool 2 I would suggest you try the upgrade and check if the battery issue is solved.

Sorry, I dont have a more promising answer now

Type in the access numer for your voicemail here. No need anymore for the "*5005*86*xxx#"-hack. type in the number here and it will work when hitting the voicemail-button in the Phone app. You can either use the local one or the complete (starting with +XXX)

You can usually call a number from your mobile to access your voicemail - thats the one. Could be just a few digits or a complete number inclusing int prefix (needed when travelling international).
