Default A very weird development on my iphone

    I have an 8G iphone with 1.1.4

I followed instructions .. i believe exactly and this is what i have.

My phone is unlocked, it put TMO sim and I can make calls, wifi/bt work.

But .. if I power the phone with the sim card in, it goes into the "emergency call ony" mode .. says connect to itunes and basically craps on me.

if I start it without sim .. then I can pop my sim after boot and can make calls.

However now if I connect it to the itunes ... it says it's an unsupported SIM ..

I have done bootloader 3.9bl and 4.6 same behavior ..
    youtube doesnb't work either.

Any suggestions ? help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Default One Step ahead

It appears this happens if you don't "activate" with the phone, I was under the impression that the once activated; one doesn't have to repeat it.

Anyways .. I am beyond that point, itune doesn't bitch, phone boots normally but no youtube!

i have tried everything .. now i am onto using ssh to put in new files in to see how that goes .. i will report back with success (if that happens)

    Default will not work

I followed all the steps right up to hitting "go for it"

When i click on "go for it", i get a message saying:

    Error communicating with device
please make sure device has been paired with iTunes, also make sure device is in NORMAL mode.
Your may retry once, if the problem persists, please restart iLiberty.

Before doing all of this i had already put my phone into DFU mode and upgraded to 1.1.4.

    Please help!

    Default Two problems

Sorry for all of the questions!

I followed the tutorial and everything worked great, i just have two problems now:

    1. Youtube will not work it says: "you must first connect to iTuned with an internet connection to enable youtube"
    - i did that and set up my phone as NEW, but still nothing.
    2. Gmail will not work.

Anyone have any ideas on what I could do or could have possibly done wrong? Thanks!

Hi, I am following your guide. Thanks for the detailed steps. I have a question. I completed all the steps and got everything working except YouTube. Following other instructions on the web, I decided to do a restore and repeat the process. However, now BootNeuter says the settings you indicate in the guide already match the current settings so it won't flash. Is this correct? I just want to verify this. So is the phone still unlocked after the restore?

    Thanks

law, thanks. The YouTube fix in installer did not work. That's why I did the restore to try something else. My question is whether BootNeuter is supposed to do nothing after the restore? (Because it says the current settings already match existing settings)
