    Default [1.1.4] Downgrade to 1.1.1?

    Hi,

I just got a call from a friend who I sold my OTB 1.1.1 phone to. He upgraded to 1.1.4 by accident and now he has a bricked phone...

Since I am kind of the iPhone guy of the group, I need to fix this for him!!!

Can I just restore the phone back to 1.1.1 by option/click restoring in iTunes? Will the baseband/bootloader get all messed up along with the unlock?

    Thanks!

hahah I already gave him the gears for it!

It was a mistake...I think he thought it was an iTunes update or something...

So when the new ZiPhone comes out, you think downgrading will be possible?

    Thanks!

DFU the phone then restore to 1.1.3.

Thats all you'll be able to do, besides jailbreak/activate

hmmm...The other day when I restored the phone so he could use it, I updated to 1.1.2 to see what would happen since I have a new 16GB phone and I could selfishly do an experiment on his phone

Anyways, it messed up and I had to downgrade my baseband back to the normal version for 1.1.1...

Does that mean its a 3.9 Bootloader still, even though it has journeyed from OTB 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, downgraded (firmware and bb) then upgraded right to 1.1.4 by accident?

Sorry if that was too confusing

    Thanks!

If your phone has a 3.9 Bootloader,it can never change no matter what you do by software.Downgrade, upgrade, unlock, virginize, restor e,ziphone,go to mars etc etc etc.

    Bootloader can never change.
First ever Apple product I bought : iPhone.
