@dtube: So probably I must have a corrupted bootloader since no restore have been able to get my IMEI, ICCID, Bluetooth, Wifi, Baseband and so on.

To this point, I can only think of four possibilities:

1. DFU to 2.0 (not sure if it will have the expected result)
2. Hope that George Zhu fixes his 1st gen iPhone (unlikely to resolve my issue since it's not the very same issue)
3. Wait for the 'Linux on iPhone' project to come up with a solution to change the bootloader (read this, and then this) ** I think this might be the software solution, if you think so too please leave a comment on this post to ask them for help **
4. Try to upload the bootloader to the hardware via testpoints

What do you think? Does anyone else have any idea?

You're pretty much at a dead end now.
The last thing you can try is to use itunes 7.7 and restore it with the iphone 2.0 firmware.
Make sure you grab the 2.0 for older iphone and not the 3g version.

Linux on Iphone is very interesting. I'm not so sure if the 1011problem lies within the s5L. Planet's post is very hard to understand. One thing I do know is that by replacing the intel Flash (read info off the old one and write to new) will take care of that. It's a hardware fix and not too many people can do that.

I'm not yet sure whether it BL or BB is corrupted. But your last statement about going thru itunes 7.7 & 2.0 firmware, where can I find that 2.0 for older phone? Send me the link to download & it'll be great if you can put up steps to do that as well.

By the way, across the globe hasn't there been anyone to succeed in cracking it & bringing back iphone up & running?

dtube, I got my phone checked to a local repair center in india & he told me that some network module has to be replaced. He gave me the total budget of $190
I'm not confident enough of opening up this piece of sh*t but I might try some other option to get it working (probably some cheaper mecahnic) I think he'd be asking that amount for replacing main mother board of iphone. Am I right?

I got my iphone fixed up from an engineer with change of hardware. It was actually hardware problem & now I'm back up with iphone on 1.1.4

anyway, I'm glad your phone is fixed now. He probably replaced your intel Flash or took the flash out and reprogrammed it.
