Default [1.1.4 (1.0.2 OTB)] iUnlock > No service issue

    [SOLUTION]

I just followed these instructions to upgrade:

"-Install "the virginizor" from the "i.unlock.no" source
-Make a list of your favourite apps etc
-RESTORE to 1.1.4. I say restore because that will clean out all the crap from previously installed apps, meaning more space and a cleaner and faster iPhone.
-Download iDemocracy 3 from drakenza.com (it only came out a couple of days ago, the jailbreak has a stunning GUI)
-Select only jailbreak and activate. No unlock yet.
-when it is done, open up installer and install BSD subsystem and Bootneuter.
-in bootneuter, leave the bootloader to "3.9" put neuter to on, leave fakeblank off and put unlock on.
-now press flash in the top right.
-it might take a while. DO NOT INTERRUPT IT."

But since I had updated my installer, I couldn't use it.

So I manually installed an older Installer (1.7b) on my iphone and ran the virginizer from the i.unlock.no source.
It seemed to have completed properly ( I got main script execution failed) and my phone acted as if it was unlocked.
I DFU restored to 1.1.4 then ran bootneuter exactly as you instructed.
Wi-fi is working but I have no signal! I tried restarting my phone, resetting all serttings...

I HAVE NO SIGNAL! It did show my carrier once after I reset my settings and then it disappeared!.
Now it is just 1 dot and no carrier name. I cannot make or receive phonecalls.
    Please help!
I did read through the forums, none has a definite solution.
I'm hoping someone with the same case can help me.
    Thank you!

you could try and go back to 1.0.2 and virginize the right way or reflash your baseband

You mean reflash my BB through bootneuter?
    To 3.9 again right?
What do you suggest I should do?
    Neuter fakeblank and unlock?

[Edit]Now, my wi-fi is also dropping.. why oh why did I update! Damn you installer update

ok I am relflashing the baseband!
OMG NOOOOO the iphone went to sleep! I was sure I set it to autolock never...
Please help me guys, I woke it up, it is saying that the flashind was successful.
Now Bootneuter says I'm on 3.9 neutered
    (not unlocked not fakeblanked)
    any suggestions?

[edit] I tried to unlock again. I checked unlock in the Bootneuter. it is currently flashing the baseband. done, was succesful. Back to point 0. No service. I think it has to do with the virginizing that didn't go well.
When I go to settings/carrier, it gives "error" with the spinning wheel.

Please iPhone gurus, come to my rescue! I can't live without my iphone!

    Should I try signal.app?
[Edit] I did. I do see full signal bars, but still can't make calls or receive them. it's so frustrating!

    IT WORKED!
Actually I don't know what did. I installed signal.app from here:
    http://ethanino.googlepages.com/Signal.app.zip
made sure to do what the readme says (including launchdemon).
I then tested the phone... nothing.
So I got curious and went to Maps, used the locate me feature (the little circle on the bottom left). It couldn't locate me. (I'm in Lebanon)
I then made a phonecall and... it just worked!
    I can also receive calls.
Praise be to the iPhone gods!
I hope this thread will be useful as many people are in my situation.

That's what I said. It does not make sense.
He even said that "I don't know what did" ...
If you are not sure, don't do it.
The only way people can help you is if you create a new thread. Give a history of your phone. FW version and scope of the problem and what have you done to it.
