Default [1.1.4] 04.04.05 Baseband Experiences (Warning!)

I was an idiot, but now I know better.

ieraser worked perfectly using the 1.1.4 secpack. thanks to all who informed me of my ignorance.

    --original post--
Wow, what an adventure I have had. I'll cut to the chase:

I have an original 1.1.1 (3.9 Bootloader), upgraded to 1.1.3 Unlocked using Dev-Team and AnySim.

I did a 'restore' to 1.1.4 to see what would happen.
    firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_04.04.05_G
    eep version: EEP_VERSION:207
    eep revision: EEP_REVISION:7
    bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:3.9_M3S2
    Upgraded Firmware, woot!

Thinking that since I have the 3.9 bootloader, I am invincible, I laughed and tried to 'restore' downgrade to 1.1.1. iTunes gives me an error (1) or (5) [I forget], and refuses to downgrade. The only thing it takes is 1.0.2.

So the phone is at 1.0.2, activated and jailbroken with ZiPhone 2.4.

I try to do a baseband downgrade using the script inside the i.unlock.no, and it gives me 'Main script failed to execute' (I try multiple times to run the script but it did not work).

I ended up doing things manually, and so my results.

    ieraser does not work!

    HTML Code:
    # ieraser
    Baseband reset.
    Get FlashID Request
    Sending:
    00000000 | 02 00 01 08 00 00 00 00 01 08 03 00 | ........ ....

    Done
After running ieraser, the baseband is still there.

I tried running the baseband eraser via ZiPhone, and that has also failed.

So any suggestions on downgrading the baseband?

    edit:
Oh and note that using ZiPhone's Unlock on 04.04.05 does not work (but this has not been my primary goal, so I have yet to try all possibilities)

I'm pretty sure I have the right ieraser. If you would like to send me a link or the file, feel free to and I'll test it out. I'm currently using the ieraser from the saviour pack.

Just as you are sure it's not possible to downgrade to 1.1.3? The error 1 means you are not in DFU mode. Try that first (screen is black) and I am sure it will work.

    Unhappy

Well, thanks for the rest of us .... Sorry for your iPhone, sure will be solution soon ....

Since i Recall you have bootloader 3.9, right?

Error(1) was "popular" when trying to RESTORE to 1.1.3 (with lower versions of iTunes from 1.0.2/1.1.1/1.1.2) from ordinary RESTORE (iTunes + Cable) mode but when you put your iPhone in DFU mode everything is go OK ....

What is current status of your iPhone (WiFi, Bt, IMEI,ICCID,Responsive touchscreen, use it like iPodTouch ...) ?

    its a glorified ipod touch.

when i put the phone in DFU, it requires you to complete a restore completely which it won't do because it will error out when it sees that the baseband doesn't match the one for the firmware version.

no worries about the phone, i expected it to work, but its not like not having a phone for a couple days would hurt
